Every awkward email you've ever put off writing comes down to the same three-part request: Context → Task → Tone. Give AI all three and you get something that sounds like a real person — like you — instead of a robot. This toolkit gives you the formula plus 10 ready-to-send emails you can adapt in the next five minutes.

How to use it: Paste any prompt below into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, fill in the brackets, and send. If the first draft isn't quite right, just reply "make it shorter" or "less formal" — you're having a conversation, not casting a spell.

The one line that makes it sound like you — add this to any prompt:

Match my writing style: casual, short sentences, no corporate jargon.

The Formula: Context → Task → Tone

Your blank template — fill in the three lines and send:

Context: [Who it's to + the situation, in a sentence or two]
Task: [What you want the email to accomplish]
Tone: [How it should sound + any length limit]

Write the email.

10 Emails You Can Send in the Next 5 Minutes

1. The polite decline

When you need to say no without burning the bridge.

Context: [Who's asking + what they asked for, e.g. a peer inviting me to join a committee I don't have time for].
Task: Decline clearly but warmly, and leave the relationship intact.
Tone: Kind, appreciative, and direct — three or four sentences. No long excuses.

Write the email.

2. The follow-up that isn't pushy

When someone's gone quiet and you need a reply.

Context: [Who I'm following up with + what we last discussed and when].
Task: Nudge them for a response and make it easy to reply.
Tone: Light, friendly, low-pressure — under 80 words. No guilt-tripping.

3. The reply to an unhappy customer
